Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
When the sun is covered, 1 when the stars shall scatter away, 2 And when the mountains shall be made to pass away, 3 And when the pregnant she-camels shall be neglected; 4 And when wild animals are herded together. 5 And when the seas shall be filled, 6 when the souls are coupled (to their body), 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 for what sin she was killed, 9 And when the books are spread, 10 when heaven is stripped, 11 when Hell is set ablaze, 12 and Paradise brought nigh: 13 then, each soul shall know what it has produced. 14 So verily, I swear by the planets that recede (i.e. disappear during the day and appear during the night). 15 The stars which rise and set, 16 And by the night when it departeth, 17 and the morning when it extends, 18 [That] indeed, the Qur'an is a word [conveyed by] a noble messenger 19 endowed with power and held in honour by the Lord of the Throne -- 20 Obeyed there [in the heavens] and trustworthy. 21 And your companion is not insane. 22 And indeed he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) saw him [Jibrael (Gabriel)] in the clear horizon (towards the east). 23 he is not niggardly of the Unseen. 24 And it is not the word of an accursed Satan; 25 Where to are you then heading? 26 That is but an advice to the entire creation! 27 To whomsoever among you who wills to walk straight, 28 But ye shall not will except as Allah wills,- the Cherisher of the Worlds. 29
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
