Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
When the sunlight is rolled up. 1 And when the stars shall fall; 2 and when the mountains are moved, 3 When the she-camels, ten months with young, are left untended; 4 when the savage beasts shall be brought together, 5 and when the seas boil over, 6 And when souls are reunited, 7 when the buried female infant is asked 8 Upon what sin was she killed for. 9 the records of deeds are made public, 10 the heavens are unveiled, 11 And when the hell is kindled up, 12 And when the Garden is brought nigh, 13 A soul will [then] know what it has brought [with it]. 14 But nay! I swear by the stars, 15 orbiting, disappearing; 16 And by the night as it departs; 17 And by oath of the morning when it takes birth. 18 That this is in truth the word of an honoured messenger, 19 one mighty and held in honour with the Lord of the Throne; 20 Obeyed one; then trustworthy. 21 And your comrade is not mad. 22 he truly beheld him [the angel] on the clear horizon. 23 And he is not avid of the Unseen. 24 nor is it a word of an accursed Satan. 25 where then are you going? 26 It is nothing but Good Counsel for everyone in the world, 27 for everyone of you who wishes to follow the Straight Way; 28 And you will not, unless (it be) that Allah wills, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 29
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
