The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
When the sun is wrapped up [in darkness] 1 The stars turn dim and scatter, 2 when the mountains shall be set in motion, 3 And when milch camels roam abandoned. 4 When the wild beasts are herded together (in the human habitations); 5 And when the seas are set on fire, 6 when the souls are coupled (to their body), 7 And when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 for what crime she had been slain, 9 and when the scrolls [of men's deeds] are unfolded, 10 when heaven is stripped, 11 And when Hellfire is set ablaze 12 when Paradise is brought near, 13 then, each soul shall know what it has produced. 14 I swear by the receding stars. 15 that hide, 16 and the night as it darkly falls, 17 The rising dawn, 18 behold, this [divine writ] is indeed the [inspired] word of a noble apostle, 19 Endued with Power, with rank before the Lord of the Throne, 20 obeyed by (all creatures) and faithful to His trust. 21 For, this fellow-man of yours is not a madman: 22 He had surely seen Him on the clear horizon. 23 Neither doth he withhold grudgingly a knowledge of the Unseen. 24 Nor is this the word of an outcast devil. 25 Where then are you going? 26 It is not except a reminder to the worlds 27 for everyone of you who wishes to follow the Straight Way; 28 And ye shall not will unless it be that Allah, the Lord of the worlds, willeth. 29
God the Almighty always says the truth.
