The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
When the sun (with its spacious light) is folded up; 1 And when the stars darken, 2 and when the mountains are moved, 3 And when the she-camels big with young shall be abandoned, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together, 5 the oceans are brought to a boil, 6 when the souls shall be coupled, 7 when the buried infant shall be asked 8 for what offence was she killed? 9 When the scrolls are laid open; 10 And when the sky is stripped away 11 when Hell shall be set blazing, 12 And when Paradise is brought near. 13 Every soul will then come know what it has brought. 14 But nay! I swear by the stars, 15 Those that run [their courses] and disappear - 16 And the Night as it dissipates; 17 and the morn as it softly breathes: 18 Verily this is the word of a noble message-bearer; 19 one mighty and held in honour with the Lord of the Throne; 20 obeyed, moreover trusty. 21 And (O people!) your companion is not one possessed; 22 He had surely seen Him on the clear horizon. 23 And he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) withholds not a knowledge of the unseen. 24 Nor is this the word of a stoned satan. 25 Whither, then, will you go? 26 That is but an advice to the entire creation! 27 For him among you who pleases to go straight. 28 But you cannot will it unless God, the Sustainer of all the worlds, wills [to show you that way]. 29
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
