The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
When the sun is wound up; 1 The stars turn dim and scatter, 2 And when the mountains shall made to pass away; 3 And when the camels are left untended, 4 When the wild beasts are herded together (in the human habitations); 5 the oceans are brought to a boil, 6 when the souls shall be rejoined (with their bodies), 7 when the buried female infant is asked 8 for what offence was she killed? 9 And when the Writs shall be lain open, 10 When the world on High is unveiled; 11 when Hell is set ablaze, 12 when Paradise is brought near, 13 then shall a soul know what it has produced. 14 I do not need to swear by the orbiting 15 the planets that run their course and set, 16 And by the night as it departs; 17 And by the morning when it shineth forth, 18 [That] indeed, the Qur'an is a word [conveyed by] a noble messenger 19 endowed with power and held in honour by the Lord of the Throne -- 20 With authority there, (and) faithful to his trust. 21 And your companion is not [at all] mad. 22 Assuredly he beheld him in the horizon manifest. 23 He (Muhammad) is not accused of lying about the unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of the cursed Shaitan, 25 Whither then go ye? 26 It is not except a reminder to the worlds 27 For the one among you who wishes to become upright. 28 And ye shall not will unless it be that Allah, the Lord of the worlds, willeth. 29
