The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun shall be folded up, 1 When the stars fall, losing their lustre; 2 And when the mountains are driven. 3 when the pregnant camels are neglected, 4 And when the wild beasts are herded together, 5 the oceans are brought to a boil, 6 when the souls are coupled (to their body), 7 And the little girl buried alive is asked 8 For what crime she was put to death; 9 the records of deeds are made public, 10 and when heaven is laid bare, 11 hell is made to blaze, 12 And when Paradise is brought near. 13 Then every soul shall know that which it hath presented. 14 So by oath of those that revolve. (The planets.) 15 And by the planets that move swiftly and hide themselves, 16 And the night when it departs, 17 and the morning when it extends, 18 behold, this [divine writ] is indeed the [inspired] word of a noble apostle, 19 Full of power, well-established (in position) with the Lord and Master of the Throne, 20 The one who is obeyed, and trustworthy. (Other angels obey angel Jibreel). 21 Your companion (Muhammad) does not suffer from any mental illness 22 Surely he beheld Him on the clear horizon. 23 And Muhammad is not a withholder of [knowledge of] the unseen. 24 This is not the utterance of an accursed devil. 25 So where are you going? 26 This is certainly the guidance for all (jinn and mankind). 27 So let those who want, choose the right guidance 28 And you do not please except that Allah please, the Lord of the worlds. 29
