Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
(On the day) when the sun is made to cease shining, 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 And when the mountains are made to pass away, 3 And when milch camels roam abandoned. 4 And when the wild beasts are gathered 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 when the souls are coupled (to their body), 7 when the buried female infant is asked 8 For what crime she was killed; 9 when the scrolls shall be unrolled, 10 And when the sky is stripped away 11 And when the hell is kindled up, 12 And when Paradise shall be brought near, 13 (Then) shall each soul know what it has put forward. 14 I do not need to swear by the orbiting 15 Who move straight and stop. 16 The closing night, 17 And by oath of the morning when it takes birth. 18 Verily it is a Word brought by a messenger honoured, 19 The processor of strength, having an honorable place with the Lord of the Dominion, 20 who is obeyed there and is worthy of trust. 21 (O people of Makkah), your companion is not mad; 22 Surely he beheld Him on the clear horizon. 23 And he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) withholds not a knowledge of the unseen. 24 Nor is this [message] the word of any satanic force accursed. 25 Then where are you going? 26 Verily this is no less than a Message to (all) the Worlds: 27 for whosoever of you would go straight, 28 And ye will not, unless (it be) that Allah willeth, the Lord of Creation. 29
True are the words of God the Almighty.
