The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun is folded up, 1 And when the stars fall, dispersing, 2 And when the mountains are made to pass away, 3 when the ten-months pregnant camels shall be abandoned, 4 when the savage beasts shall be mustered, 5 when the seas are set boiling, 6 And when souls are united, 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 For what crime she was killed; 9 the records of deeds are made public, 10 And when the sky is torn away, 11 And when hell is further enflamed. 12 And when the Garden shall be brought nigh, 13 Every soul will know what it had prepared. 14 But nay! I swear by the stars, 15 that hide, 16 by the night when it approaches 17 And the Dawn as it breathes away the darkness;- 18 Most surely it is the Word of an honored messenger, 19 Owner of power, and high rank with (Allah) the Lord of the Throne, 20 obeyed by (all creatures) and faithful to His trust. 21 Your Companion is not mad, 22 And of a truth he saw himself on the clear horizon. 23 And this Prophet is not miserly upon the hidden. Allah gave the knowledge of the hidden to the Holy Prophet - peace and blessings be upon him. 24 Nor is this [message] the word of any satanic force accursed. 25 Where then will you go? 26 This is naught else than a reminder unto creation, 27 For whoever wills among you to take a right course. 28 And you do not please except that Allah please, the Lord of the worlds. 29
