The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
When the sun is folded up, 1 And when the stars fall, dispersing, 2 And when the mountains shall made to pass away; 3 When the she-camels, ten months with young, are left untended; 4 And when the wild beasts are gathered 5 and when the seas boil over, 6 And when souls are united, 7 And when the girl buried alive shall be asked: 8 for what offence was she killed? 9 and when the scrolls of (men's) deeds shall be unfolded, 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped, 11 hell is made to blaze, 12 And when the Garden shall be brought nigh, 13 Every soul will then come know what it has brought. 14 Oh, but I call to witness the planets, 15 stars which are visible during the night 16 and the night as it darkly falls, 17 and the morn as it breathes. 18 that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger 19 with strength endowed, secure with Him who in almightiness is enthroned 20 Obeyed and worthy there of trust. 21 Your companion is not possessed; 22 And without doubt he saw him in the clear horizon. 23 Nor of the unseen is he a tenacious concealer. 24 Nor is it the word of a satan accursed. 25 So where are you going? 26 That is but an advice to the entire creation! 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 but you shall not, unless Allah wills, the Lord of all the Worlds. 29
