Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun shall be folded up, 1 And when the stars shall dart down, 2 And when the mountains are removed 3 And when full-term she-camels are neglected 4 The wild beasts stampede on the run, 5 And when the seas rise, 6 And when the souls are paired 7 And when the girl-child that was buried alive is asked 8 such as, "For what crime were they murdered?" 9 the records of deeds are made public, 10 And when the heaven has its covering removed, 11 And when hell is lighted, 12 And Paradise brought near, 13 (Then) every soul will know what it had prepared (for itself). 14 I swear by the receding stars. 15 Go straight, or hide; 16 and sit during the day, or by the darkening night 17 and brightening morning, 18 behold, this [divine writ] is indeed the [inspired] word of a noble apostle, 19 Full of power, well-established (in position) with the Lord and Master of the Throne, 20 [the word] of one to be heeded, and worthy of trust! 21 Nor is your companion distracted. 22 And indeed he saw him on the clear horizon. (Prophet Mohammed saw Angel Jibreel in his true shape – peace and blessings be upon them). 23 Nor of the unseen is he a tenacious concealer. 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 Whither then will you go? 26 Verily, this (the Quran) is no less than a Reminder to (all) the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 27 For whoever wills among you to take a right course. 28 However, you will not be able to choose anything unless God, Lord of the Universe wills it to be so. 29
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
