The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
When the sun shall be darkened, 1 the stars are made to fade away, 2 And when the mountains shall made to pass away; 3 and when she-camels big with young, about to give birth, are left untended, 4 And when wild animals are herded together. 5 When the oceans surge and swell, 6 when the souls shall be rejoined (with their bodies), 7 and when the girl-child that was buried alive is made to ask 8 for what crime she was slain, 9 When the scrolls are laid open; 10 when heaven shall be stripped off; 11 and when the blazing fire [of hell] is kindled bright, 12 And when the Garden is brought near;- 13 then every soul will discover the consequence of its deeds. 14 So by oath of those that revolve. (The planets.) 15 the runners, the sinkers, 16 and the night as it darkly falls, 17 The rising dawn, 18 Verily it is a Word brought by a messenger honoured, 19 Endued with Power, with rank before the Lord of the Throne, 20 Obeyed one; then trustworthy. 21 And your companion is not insane. 22 he indeed saw the message-bearer on the clear horizon; 23 He is not avid of the Unseen. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 So whither do you stray? 26 Verily, this (the Quran) is no less than a Reminder to (all) the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 27 for whosoever of you would go straight, 28 And ye shall not will unless it be that Allah, the Lord of the worlds, willeth. 29
