The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun shall be darkened, 1 And when the stars fall, 2 when the mountains shall be set moving, 3 when the pregnant camels shall be neglected, 4 When the wild beasts are herded together (in the human habitations); 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 And when the souls are paired 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 For what sin she was slain, 9 when the records of men's deeds are laid open, 10 when heaven is stripped, 11 And when the hell is kindled up, 12 when Paradise shall be brought nigh, 13 then, each soul shall know what it has produced. 14 So by oath of those that revolve. (The planets.) 15 The planets withdrawing into themselves, 16 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 17 And by the morning when it shineth forth, 18 behold, this [divine writ] is indeed the [inspired] word of a noble apostle, 19 having power, with the Lord of the Throne secure, 20 obeyed, and honest. 21 Nor is your companion distracted. 22 in truth he saw him (Gabriel) on the clear horizon, 23 And he is of the unseen not a tenacious concealer. 24 This is not the utterance of an accursed devil. 25 where then are you going? 26 It is naught but a reminder for the nations, 27 So let those who want, choose the right guidance 28 However, you will not be able to choose anything unless God, Lord of the Universe wills it to be so. 29

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
