The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
When the sunlight is rolled up. 1 when the stars shall scatter away, 2 And when the mountains are made to pass away, 3 when the pregnant camels are neglected, 4 And when the wild animals are made to go forth, 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 when the souls shall be coupled, 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 for what sin she was slain, 9 And when the books are spread, 10 and when heaven is laid bare, 11 when Hell shall be set blazing, 12 And when the Garden is brought near;- 13 Then every soul shall know that which it hath presented. 14 I swear by the receding stars. 15 Who move straight and stop. 16 And by the night when it departeth, 17 And by oath of the morning when it takes birth. 18 Verily this is the word of a noble message-bearer; 19 Mighty, established in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 there he is obeyed and held trustworthy. 21 And your companion is not insane. 22 Surely he beheld Him on the clear horizon. 23 Nor of the unseen is he a tenacious concealer. 24 And the Qur'an is not the word of a devil, expelled [from the heavens]. 25 where then are you going? 26 It is naught but a reminder for the nations, 27 For him among you who pleases to go straight. 28 But ye shall not will except as Allah wills,- the Cherisher of the Worlds. 29
