The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
When the sunlight is rolled up. 1 the stars are made to fade away, 2 And when the mountains are driven. 3 And when the camels big with young are abandoned, 4 When the wild beasts are herded together (in the human habitations); 5 When the oceans boil over with a swell; 6 And when souls are united, 7 And the little girl buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was slain. 9 And when the books are spread, 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped, 11 And when Hellfire is set ablaze 12 And when the garden is brought nigh, 13 Every soul will then come know what it has brought. 14 So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, 15 And by the planets that move swiftly and hide themselves, 16 And by the night as it closes in 17 And the morning when it brightens, 18 Truly, this is the word brought by a noble messenger, 19 Mighty, established in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 there he is obeyed and held trustworthy. 21 And (O people) your companion (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is not a madman; 22 he truly beheld [the angel - beheld] him on the clear horizon; 23 and he is not one to begrudge others the knowledge [of whatever has been revealed to him] out of that which is beyond the reach of human Perception. 24 Nor is this [message] the word of any satanic force accursed. 25 Whither, then, will you go? 26 This is naught but an admonition unto the worlds 27 For whoever wills among you to take a right course. 28 but you shall not, unless Allah wills, the Lord of all the Worlds. 29
