The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun is covered, 1 The stars turn dim and scatter, 2 And when the mountains are driven. 3 And when milch camels roam abandoned. 4 The wild beasts stampede on the run, 5 And when the seas shall become as blazing Fire or shall overflow; 6 When the souls are sorted out, (being joined, like with like); 7 And when the girl buried alive shall be asked: 8 for what offence was she killed? 9 And when the written pages of deeds (good and bad) of every person shall be laid open; 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped off and taken away from its place; 11 And when hell is lighted, 12 And when Paradise shall be brought near, 13 A soul will [then] know what it has brought [with it]. 14 No indeed; I swear by the alternating stars 15 That run their course (and) hide themselves, 16 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 17 and the morn as it breathes. 18 Verily, this is the Word (this Quran brought by) a most honourable messenger [Jibrael (Gabriel), from Allah to the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)]. 19 endowed with power and held in honour by the Lord of the Throne -- 20 With authority there, (and) faithful to his trust. 21 And your companion is not gone mad. 22 He certainly saw him (Gabriel) high up on the horizon in his original form 23 nor does he grudge (conveying this knowledge about) the Unseen; 24 Nor is it the word of the cursed Shaitan, 25 Where to are you then heading? 26 This is a reminder for all the peoples of the world, 27 For him among you who pleases to go straight. 28 And you do not please except that Allah please, the Lord of the worlds. 29
God the Almighty always says the truth.
