The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
When the sun is folded up, 1 And when the stars shall dart down, 2 And when the hills are moved, 3 And when the pregnant she-camels shall be neglected; 4 when the savage beasts shall be brought together, 5 And when the seas are filled with flame 6 And when souls are united, 7 when the buried infant shall be asked 8 for what offence was she killed? 9 And when the pages are laid open, 10 when heaven is stripped, 11 When the Blazing Fire is kindled to fierce heat; 12 And when Paradise is brought near, 13 (Then) every soul will know what it had prepared (for itself). 14 I do not need to swear by the orbiting 15 The planets withdrawing into themselves, 16 and sit during the day, or by the darkening night 17 And the Dawn as it breathes away the darkness;- 18 truly this is the word of a noble Messenger 19 of power, given a rank by the Owner of the Throne 20 One (to be) obeyed, and faithful in trust. 21 For, this fellow-man of yours is not a madman: 22 And he has already seen Gabriel in the clear horizon. 23 And he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) withholds not a knowledge of the unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of the cursed Shaitan, 25 Where then are you going? 26 It is nothing but Good Counsel for everyone in the world, 27 to every one of you who wishes to tread the straight path. 28 And you will not, unless (it be) that Allah wills, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 29
