Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
When the sun is folded up, 1 the stars are made to fade away, 2 When the mountains vanish (like a mirage); 3 And when milch camels roam abandoned. 4 the wild beasts are herded together, 5 And when the seas shall be filled, 6 And when souls are reunited, 7 And when the girl-child who was buried alive is asked. 8 for what crime she was slain, 9 when the scrolls are unrolled, 10 when heaven is stripped, 11 when Hell is set ablaze, 12 and Paradise is brought near, 13 (Then) every soul will know what it hath made ready. 14 I swear by the receding stars. 15 the planets that run their course and set, 16 by the night swarming, 17 by the dawn sighing, 18 This is indeed the recitation of an honoured Noble Messenger. (Angel Jibreel – peace and blessings be upon him.) 19 endowed with power and held in honour by the Lord of the Throne -- 20 Obeyed and worthy there of trust. 21 For, this fellow-man of yours is not a madman: 22 Assuredly he beheld him in the horizon manifest. 23 And he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) withholds not a knowledge of the unseen. 24 And the Qur’an is not the recitation of Satan the outcast. 25 Where then are you going? 26 It is nothing but Good Counsel for everyone in the world, 27 for everyone of you who wishes to follow the Straight Way; 28 but your wishing will not avail unless Allah, the Lord of the Universe, so wishes. 29
God the Almighty always says the truth.
