The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
When the sun shall be wound round, 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 When the mountains vanish (like a mirage); 3 The ten-month pregnant female camels are abandoned, 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 And when the seas are set on fire, 6 And when the souls shall be joined with their bodies; 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 For what sin she was slain. 9 And when the pages are laid open, 10 And when the heaven has its covering removed, 11 when Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when Paradise is brought near, 13 (Then) every soul will know what it had prepared (for itself). 14 So I swear by the retreating stars - 15 that hide, 16 and sit during the day, or by the darkening night 17 And by oath of the morning when it takes birth. 18 Verily this is the word of a noble message-bearer; 19 of power, given a rank by the Owner of the Throne 20 Obeyed and worthy there of trust. 21 And your comrade is not mad. 22 Surely he beheld Him on the clear horizon. 23 and he is not one to begrudge others the knowledge [of whatever has been revealed to him] out of that which is beyond the reach of human Perception. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 Whither then will you go? 26 This is certainly the guidance for all (jinn and mankind). 27 So let those who want, choose the right guidance 28 Though you cannot desire except as God will, the Lord of all the worlds. 29
God the Almighty always says the truth.
