The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
When the sun shall be wound round, 1 the stars are made to fade away, 2 And when the mountains are removed 3 when ten-month pregnant camels are left untended, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together; 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 and when all human beings are coupled [with their deeds,] 7 and when the girl-child buried alive shall be asked: 8 For what sin she was killed? 9 when the scrolls are unrolled, 10 when heaven is stripped, 11 when Hell is set ablaze, 12 when Paradise shall be brought nigh, 13 (Then) every person will know what he has brought (of good and evil). 14 So I swear by the retreating stars - 15 orbiting, disappearing; 16 and by the night as it recedes, 17 and the first breath of morning. 18 That this is indeed the word of an honoured Messenger, 19 of power, given a rank by the Owner of the Throne 20 With authority there, (and) faithful to his trust. 21 (O people of Makkah), your companion is not mad; 22 And indeed he saw him on the clear horizon. (Prophet Mohammed saw Angel Jibreel in his true shape peace and blessings be upon them). 23 And he is of the unseen not a tenacious concealer. 24 This is not the utterance of an accursed devil. 25 So where are you going? 26 This is naught else than a reminder unto creation, 27 for whosoever of you who would go straight; 28 Though you cannot desire except as God will, the Lord of all the worlds. 29
Almighty Allah's Truth.
