The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
When the sun shall be darkened, 1 And when the stars fall, dispersing, 2 The mountains made to move, 3 And when the pregnant she-camels shall be neglected; 4 when the savage beasts shall be brought together, 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 And when the souls are paired. 7 when the buried female infant is asked 8 for what crime she was slain, 9 the records of deeds are made public, 10 when heaven shall be stripped off; 11 when Hell is set ablaze, 12 and Paradise brought nigh: 13 then, each soul shall know what it has produced. 14 Rather, I swear by the returning 15 Moving swiftly and hiding themselves, 16 and by the night as it recedes, 17 And by the dawn as it brightens; 18 that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger 19 who is honored in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 there he is obeyed and held trustworthy. 21 Your companion is not possessed; 22 he truly beheld him [the angel] on the clear horizon. 23 He is not chary of making public what is unknown. 24 And it is not the word of an accursed Satan; 25 Whither, then, will you go? 26 This is merely a reminder to all mankind; 27 For those of you who desire to walk the path that is straight, 28 And you will not, unless (it be) that Allah wills, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 29

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
