The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
When the sun Kuwwirat (wound round and lost its light and is overthrown). 1 And when the stars fall, 2 and the mountains have been taken, 3 And when the pregnant she-camels shall be neglected; 4 when the savage beasts are gathered 5 when the seas are set boiling, 6 souls are reunited with their bodies, 7 And when the girl buried alive shall be asked: 8 for what sin she was killed, 9 And when the written pages of deeds (good and bad) of every person shall be laid open; 10 the heavens are unveiled, 11 and when the blazing fire [of hell] is kindled bright, 12 and Paradise brought nigh: 13 then, each soul shall know what it has produced. 14 So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, 15 the planets that run their course and set, 16 And the Night as it dissipates; 17 And by oath of the morning when it takes birth. 18 it is indeed the word of an Honorable Messenger, 19 endowed with power and held in honour by the Lord of the Throne -- 20 obeyed, moreover trusty. 21 And your companion is not gone mad. 22 And he has already seen Gabriel in the clear horizon. 23 Neither doth he withhold grudgingly a knowledge of the Unseen. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 Where then are you going? 26 It is naught but a Reminder unto all beings, 27 For the one among you who wishes to become upright. 28 And ye shall not will unless it be that Allah, the Lord of the worlds, willeth. 29
