The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
When the sun (with its spacious light) is folded up; 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 and when the mountains are moved, 3 And when milch camels roam abandoned. 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 and when the seas are set on fire, 6 And when souls are reunited, 7 when the buried female infant is asked 8 Upon what sin was she killed for. 9 And when the written pages of deeds (good and bad) of every person shall be laid open; 10 the heavens are unveiled, 11 And when Hellfire is set ablaze 12 and when paradise is brought into view: 13 Every soul will then come know what it has brought. 14 So by oath of those that revolve. (The planets.) 15 that hide, 16 And the close of night, 17 The rising dawn, 18 Verily, this is the Word (this Quran brought by) a most honourable messenger [Jibrael (Gabriel), from Allah to the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)]. 19 [Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position], 20 obeyed, moreover trusty. 21 And (O people) your companion (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is not a madman; 22 he indeed saw the message-bearer on the clear horizon; 23 And he is of the unseen not a tenacious concealer. 24 Nor is it the word of a satan accursed. 25 So where are you going? 26 This is certainly the guidance for all (jinn and mankind). 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
