The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
When the sun is overthrown, 1 when the stars are thrown down, 2 when the mountains shall be set in motion, 3 the young barren camels are abandoned, 4 And when the wild beasts are herded together, 5 and when the seas boil over, 6 and when all human beings are coupled [with their deeds,] 7 And when the girl-child that was buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was killed? 9 when the scrolls shall be unrolled, 10 And when the heaven is torn away. 11 when Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when Paradise shall be brought near, 13 (Then) every soul will know what it had prepared (for itself). 14 No indeed; I swear by the alternating stars 15 the runners, the sinkers, 16 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 17 And the morning when it brightens, 18 That this is indeed the word of an honoured Messenger, 19 Owner of strength, of established dignity with the Lord of the Throne. 20 Obeyed one; then trustworthy. 21 And your companion is not [at all] mad. 22 in truth he saw him (Gabriel) on the clear horizon, 23 he is not niggardly of the Unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of the cursed Shaitan, 25 Where to are you then heading? 26 Verily this is no less than a Message to (all) the Worlds: 27 For those of you who desire to walk the path that is straight, 28 And what will you wish, except if Allah wills – the Lord of the Creation. 29
