The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
(On the day) when the sun is made to cease shining, 1 And when the stars fall, dispersing, 2 when the mountains shall be set moving, 3 when ten-month pregnant camels are left untended, 4 And when the wild animals are made to go forth, 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 When the souls are sorted out, (being joined, like with like); 7 when the buried infant shall be asked 8 For what sin she was killed, 9 And when the pages are made public 10 And when the heaven has its covering removed, 11 And when the Scorch shall be made to blaze, 12 And when Paradise shall be brought near, 13 [on that Day] every human being will come to know what he has prepared [for himself]. 14 But nay! I swear by the stars, 15 orbiting, disappearing; 16 and the night that falls, 17 And by the dawn when it breathes 18 Most surely it is the Word of an honored messenger, 19 Full of power, well-established (in position) with the Lord and Master of the Throne, 20 Obeyed one; then trustworthy. 21 Your companion is not one possessed: 22 And without doubt he saw him in the clear horizon. 23 he is not grudging of the Unseen. 24 This is not the utterance of an accursed devil. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 Verily, this (the Quran) is no less than a Reminder to (all) the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 27 for whosoever of you would go straight, 28 But you cannot will it unless God, the Sustainer of all the worlds, wills [to show you that way]. 29
