The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
WHEN THE SUN is folded up, 1 the stars are made to fade away, 2 when the mountains shall be set moving, 3 when the pregnant camels shall be neglected, 4 the wild beasts are herded together, 5 when the seas are set boiling, 6 souls are reunited with their bodies, 7 And the little girl buried alive is asked 8 for what offence was she killed? 9 When the scrolls are laid open; 10 When the world on High is unveiled; 11 when Hell shall be set blazing, 12 when Paradise is brought near, 13 (Then) every person will know what he has brought (of good and evil). 14 So I swear by the retreating stars - 15 Those that run [their courses] and disappear - 16 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 17 and the morn as it softly breathes: 18 Truly, this is the word brought by a noble messenger, 19 Endued with Power, with rank before the Lord of the Throne, 20 Obeyed there [in the heavens] and trustworthy. 21 Your Companion is not mad, 22 Surely he beheld Him on the clear horizon. 23 He is not avid of the Unseen. 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 Then where are you going? 26 This is a reminder for all the peoples of the world, 27 For the one among you who wishes to become upright. 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
