The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
WHEN THE SUN is shrouded in darkness, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 And when the hills are moved, 3 when the ten-months pregnant camels shall be abandoned, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together; 5 And when the seas shall become as blazing Fire or shall overflow; 6 and when all human beings are coupled [with their deeds,] 7 when the buried infant shall be asked 8 For what sin she was killed? 9 And when the Writs shall be lain open, 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped off and taken away from its place; 11 When Hell is set ablaze, 12 and Paradise brought nigh: 13 then shall a soul know what it has produced. 14 No indeed; I swear by the alternating stars 15 The planets withdrawing into themselves, 16 and the night as it darkly falls, 17 And by oath of the morning when it takes birth. 18 Verily this is the word of a most honourable Messenger, 19 of power, given a rank by the Owner of the Throne 20 Obeyed there [in the heavens] and trustworthy. 21 Your companion (Muhammad) does not suffer from any mental illness 22 he truly beheld him [the angel] on the clear horizon. 23 And Muhammad is not a withholder of [knowledge of] the unseen. 24 Nor is this the word of an outcast devil. 25 Where then are you going? 26 This is a reminder for all the peoples of the world, 27 For those of you who desire to walk the path that is straight, 28 And ye will not, unless (it be) that Allah willeth, the Lord of Creation. 29
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
