Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven splits open. 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 everyone shall know all his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 Even then you deny the Judgement. 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 watching over you 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 Indeed, the righteous shall (live) in bliss. 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 roasting in it on the Day of Recompense 15 to burn therein. 16 What will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 17 Again, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
