Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder, 1 and when the stars are scattered, 2 and when the seas burst beyond their bounds, 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 everyone shall know all his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 5 O human! What has deceived you concerning your Generous Lord 6 The One Who created you, then moulded you, then made you proper? 7 In whatsoever form He listed He constructed thee. 8 Even then you deny the Judgement. 9 Verify there are for you guardians, 10 Honourablel scribes. 11 who know all that you do: 12 The virtuous ones will live in bliss 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 They will burn in it on the Day of Judgement, 15 and then shall never come out of it. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Again, what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 18 (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
