Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 and when the graves are overturned 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 having put thee together in whatever form He willed [thee to have]? 8 Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 watching over you 11 who know what you do. 12 The pious will surely be in heaven, 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 And thence they shall not be allowed to be absent. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
