Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the Sky is cleft asunder; 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 And when the seas are flowed out, 3 When the graves are overturned, 4 (Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds). 5 O man! What has deceived you away from your Lord, the Most Beneficent? 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 He moulded you into whatever shape He willed. 8 Nay! But you deny the Recompense (reward for good deeds and punishment for evil deeds). 9 But verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you,- 10 Noble and recording; 11 and these honorable scribes know whatever you do. 12 Verily, the Abrar (pious and righteous) will be in delight (Paradise); 13 whereas, behold, the wicked will indeed be in a blazing fire 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 And will not be able to hide from it. 16 What will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
