Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 And the stars dispersed, 2 and when the seas burst beyond their bounds, 3 And when the graves are laid open, 4 (Then) shall each soul know what it hath sent forward and (what it hath) kept back. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 who created you, fashioned you and proportioned you, 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 Not at all – but rather you deny the establishment of Justice. 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 noble scribes 11 They know all that you do. 12 As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 which they will enter on the Day of Judgment 15 And will not be able to hide from it. 16 They will never be able to escape from it. Would that you knew what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
