Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 and when the graves are overturned 4 A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. 5 O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one, 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 Not at all – but rather you deny the establishment of Justice. 9 But verily, over you (are appointed angels in charge of mankind) to watch you. 10 noble scribes 11 They know all that you do. 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 whereas the wicked will be in Hell; 14 They will burn in it on the Day of Judgement, 15 to burn therein. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Again: what will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
