Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder, 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 when the seas overflow; 3 And when the graves are ransacked, 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 having put thee together in whatever form He willed [thee to have]? 8 Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 noble recorders, 11 and these honorable scribes know whatever you do. 12 Behold, [in the life to come] the truly virtuous: will indeed be in bliss, 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 which they shall enter on the Day of Judgement, 15 and from it they shall never be absent. 16 What will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 [It will be] a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to another human being: for on that Day [it will become manifest that] all sovereignty is God's alone. 19
