Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 And when the stars become dispersed, 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 When the graves are overturned, 4 every human being will [at last] comprehend, what he has sent ahead and what he has held back [in this world]. 5 O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 Rather, you belied the Recompense. 9 And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, 10 watching over you 11 who know what you do. 12 Verily, the Abrar (pious and righteous) will be in delight (Paradise); 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense, 15 to burn therein. 16 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again: what will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
