Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 and when the seas burst beyond their bounds, 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 (Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds). 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 The One Who created you, then moulded you, then made you proper? 7 He moulded you into whatever shape He willed. 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 noble, writers 11 who know whatever you do. 12 Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure, 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 They will burn in it on the Day of Judgement, 15 And they (Al-Fujjar) will not be absent therefrom (i.e. will not go out from the Hell). 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
