Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the sky is cleft asunder; 1 When the Stars are scattered; 2 and when the seas burst beyond their bounds, 3 And when the graves are ransacked, 4 the soul shall know what it has done, the former and the latter. 5 O man! What has deceived you away from your Lord, the Most Beneficent? 6 Who created you then formed your symmetry, then gave you right proportion, 7 In whatever shape He will He could surely have fashioned you. 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 but you should know that there are angelic guards 10 noble recorders, 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 The pious will surely be in heaven, 13 And verily, the Fujjar (the wicked, disbelievers, sinners and evil-doers) will be in the blazing Fire (Hell), 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 to burn therein. 16 And what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 17 And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
