Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 When the graves are overturned, 4 then everyone will know what he has sent ahead, and what he has left behind. 5 O man! What has deceived you away from your Lord, the Most Beneficent? 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 in whatever composition He wanted. 8 Not at all – but rather you deny the establishment of Justice. 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 noble scribes 11 Who know what you do. 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 which they shall enter on the Day of Judgement, 15 And will not be able to hide from it. 16 What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
