Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 And when the seas are flowed out, 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 (Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds). 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 who created you, fashioned you and proportioned you, 7 and composed thee after what form He would? 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 They know (and understand) all that ye do. 12 Behold, [in the life to come] the truly virtuous: will indeed be in bliss, 13 and the wicked shall be in the Blazing Fire. 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 And will not be absent thence. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Again, what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 [It will be] a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to another human being: for on that Day [it will become manifest that] all sovereignty is God's alone. 19
