Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O man! what hath beguiled thee concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 And indeed there are some guardians over you. 10 noble scribes 11 They know what you do. 12 The virtuous ones will live in bliss 13 and the wicked shall be in the Blazing Fire. 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 And thence they shall not be allowed to be absent. 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 Again, what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 18 It will be a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to any other human being, God [alone] will hold command on that Day. 19
