Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder. 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the seas are erupted 3 And when the graves are turned upside down (and they bring out their contents) 4 (Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds). 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 The One Who created you, then moulded you, then made you proper? 7 In whatever form He willed has He assembled you. 8 Nay! but you give the lie to the judgment day, 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 noble scribes 11 Who know (all) that ye do. 12 the virtuous will dwell in bliss, 13 And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire. 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 and from it they shall never be absent. 16 And what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 17 Again, what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
