Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 And when the graves are laid open, 4 then everyone will know what he has sent ahead, and what he has left behind. 5 O man! What is it that lures you away from your bountiful Sustainer, 6 Him Who created thee. Fashioned thee in due proportion, and gave thee a just bias; 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 Nay! But you deny the Recompense (reward for good deeds and punishment for evil deeds). 9 And indeed there are some guardians over you. 10 watching over you 11 Who know (all) that ye do. 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment, 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 And what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 17 How then can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
