Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 when the seas overflow; 3 And when the graves are turned upside down (and they bring out their contents) 4 every soul will see the result of its deeds - those recorded before his death and those which will produce either virtue or evil after his death. 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! 9 And indeed there are some guardians over you. 10 Illustrious scribes 11 They know whatever you do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire. 14 They will burn in it on the Day of Judgement, 15 And never therefrom will they be absent. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 (It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do) anything for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
