Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 When the oceans begin to flow, 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O man, what seduced you from your munificent Lord 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 Even then you deny the Judgement. 9 Surely there are guardians over you, 10 Illustrious scribes 11 They know what you do. 12 Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure, 13 whereas, behold, the wicked will indeed be in a blazing fire 14 roasting in it on the Day of Recompense 15 And thence they shall not be allowed to be absent. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 The day on which no soul will have the authority over any other soul; and on that day, the entire command belongs to Allah. 19
