Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven splits open. 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 and when the graves are overturned 4 A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. 5 O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! 9 And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, 10 noble, writers 11 They know all that you do. 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 and then shall never come out of it. 16 And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 How then can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 18 It will be a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to any other human being, God [alone] will hold command on that Day. 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
