Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the sky is split, 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth; 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 then everyone will know what he has sent ahead, and what he has left behind. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 noble recorders, 11 who know of all that you do. 12 Behold, [in the life to come] the truly virtuous: will indeed be in bliss, 13 But the wicked, indeed they shall be in the Fiery Furnace, 14 They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense, 15 And they (Al-Fujjar) will not be absent therefrom (i.e. will not go out from the Hell). 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Again, what do you know of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 A day on which no soul hath power at all for any (other) soul. The (absolute) command on that day is Allah's. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: Shattering (Al-Infitaar). Sent down in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
