Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is split asunder, 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 and when the seas burst beyond their bounds, 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. 5 O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 6 Him Who created thee. Fashioned thee in due proportion, and gave thee a just bias; 7 In whatsoever form He listed He constructed thee. 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 Verify there are for you guardians, 10 Honorable recorders, 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 But the wicked, indeed they shall be in the Fiery Furnace, 14 They will enter it on the Day of Justice. 15 to burn therein. 16 What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 18 The day on which no soul will have the authority over any other soul; and on that day, the entire command belongs to Allah. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
