Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 when the seas overflow; 3 And when the graves are turned upside down (and they bring out their contents) 4 every human being will [at last] comprehend, what he has sent ahead and what he has held back [in this world]. 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 noble scribes, 11 who know whatever you do. 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 And verily, the Fujjar (the wicked, disbelievers, sinners and evil-doers) will be in the blazing Fire (Hell), 14 Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment, 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 What will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 17 How then can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 18 It will be a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to any other human being, God [alone] will hold command on that Day. 19
