Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 when the seas overflow; 3 And the sepulchres are overturned, 4 A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. 5 O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one, 6 Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee? 7 and composed thee after what form He would? 8 Even then you deny the Judgement. 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 The honourable recorders. 11 They know (and understand) all that ye do. 12 Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 They will burn in it on the Day of Judgement, 15 And will not be absent thence. 16 And what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 A day on which no soul hath power at all for any (other) soul. The (absolute) command on that day is Allah's. 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
