Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the sky is cleft asunder; 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 when the seas swarm over, 3 and when the graves are overturned 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 and composed thee after what form He would? 8 Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 Illustrious scribes 11 who know what you do. 12 Verily, the Abrar (pious and righteous) will be in delight (Paradise); 13 But the wicked, indeed they shall be in the Fiery Furnace, 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 [It will be] a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to another human being: for on that Day [it will become manifest that] all sovereignty is God's alone. 19
