Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 When the Stars are scattered; 2 when the seas overflow; 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one, 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 In whatsoever form He listed He constructed thee. 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 And indeed there are some guardians over you. 10 noble recorders, 11 who know whatever you do. 12 Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure, 13 And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire. 14 [a fire] which they shall enter on Judgment Day, 15 to burn therein. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Again, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 18 The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's. 19
